2019 - Present

Director of Marketing & Advertising

I oversee all aspects of multi-touch marketing plans, advertising, and communications for the nation's second-largest temperature-controlled truckload shipper, as well as for our four transportation companies nationwide. Managing an annual ad spend in the millions, I develop and analyze paid and earned media, execute digital, television, print ad buys, cultivate media relationships, and collaborate with executives and divisions to create short- and long-term strategies. In my first year (2019), we achieved historically high industry KPIs while reducing costs and driving revenue. Year after year, my responsibilities have expanded as the C-suite entrusts me to deliver results and seamlessly align marketing and communication efforts across our family of companies.

2018 - 2019

Director of Communications

In this executive role, I led all communications, marketing, and public relations for the Office of the Governor. I was the primary decision-maker for messaging across various channels, including social media, websites, TV, and radio, as well as overseeing more than 300 public events and appearances annually. I ensured that all communications and marketing materials from the office were crafted with strategic purpose and aligned with our public image.

In addition to managing daily communications, I delegated tasks, supervised initiatives, and led a team of executive agencies and staff across state government. I was the key point of contact for addressing issues and safeguarding the office's and state’s public image. Throughout my tenure, I worked with with major U.S. news outlets, including the Associated Press, New York Times, CNN, Fox News, Fox Business, MSNBC, and more.

2015 - 2018

Press Secretary

As Press Secretary, I held a senior leadership position in the Office of the Governor, building upon my previous experience as Deputy Communications Director but with greater responsibility, leadership, and crisis management. My role involved strategically managing public appearances, crafting marketing initiatives to target the right audience at the right time, writing speeches, and developing talking points.

Along with my communications partner, I managed all social media accounts and platforms, creating content and controlling messaging that reached millions of people weekly. As the primary liaison to all media outlets, I built strong relationships and worked closely with local, statewide, and national media on a first-name basis.
